Present at the meeting were Ms. Holta Dudo, Prefect of Shkodër District; Mr. Andris Tufi, Head of the Sector at the Prefecture of Shkodër District; Mr. Luigi Mila, Environmental Expert; Ms. Nora Banda, Local Facilitator.

Purpose of the meeting

Presentation of the project “Active Response”, which will be implemented by the organization “Projekti Shpresa”, supported by Green-AL, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), implemented by Co-PLAN Institute for Habitat Development, in cooperation with Vis Albania and COSV-Cooperazione per lo Sviluppo.

During the meeting, the key objectives of the “Active Response” project were presented, with a particular focus on addressing environmental and infrastructural barriers faced by persons with disabilities in the territory of Shkodër District.

The Prefect expressed institutional support for this initiative, emphasizing the importance of inter-institutional cooperation and the active involvement of local actors to improve accessibility and living conditions for this category.

The role of public institutions in identifying existing issues and undertaking concrete steps to reduce environmental barriers was also discussed, in accordance with the legal framework and inclusive policies.

In conclusion, the meeting served as an important step toward strengthening institutional cooperation and creating a shared approach for active response and concrete interventions in support of persons with disabilities, laying the groundwork for future actions and continuous coordination.
